  5. LP (12" album, 33 rpm it all the time (still do) and when i heard about The Blackening i was excited but also at the expectation because they might as well not match TTAOE. but everything was left behind after i listened to it. every song is amazing, really technical and complex, showing great musicianship and balance, great lyrics, robb /5().

  7. Nov 20,  · Aiming for a making a living in music is not like playing music for a hobby. Namely, it is a job like any other, and when you don't treat it like one, you'll lose it. Yes, you love music and in the grand scheme of things, you know that getting to work with it day in and day out is a gift.
  8. Great work from the legendary Cook label – a full album that combines two earlier 10" albums of experimental sounds! First up is Speed The Parting Guest, a wonderful combination of music and sound effects – very similar to some of the bigger label work from artists like Jack Fascinato or Dean Elliott over at Capitol Records in the late 50s, but an even more sonically-sensitive session done.
  9. An excellent collection of work from the great John Barry – one that focuses on his famous contributions for the James Bond films – but also includes other soundtrack and instrumental material as well! The set begins with the John Barry Plays record – a brilliant album that not only features some instrumental soundtrack themes, but also includes some great mod Barry instrumentals.
